How will I receive my cookbook?

Do I have to type out my recipes?

No, nothing at all. You simply photograph your old cards or notebook pages. Our system reads and transcribes the handwriting automatically. You only check the result and correct a word here and there if needed.

Can I choose the format and design of my book?

Yes. You pick the page format that suits you (A4, square or landscape) and one of three design themes. Your PDF is produced exactly in the format you chose.

Two recipes are written on the same page of my notebook. How should I photograph them?

Take a separate photo for each recipe, even if they share a page. One recipe per photo is what gives the clearest, most faithful transcription.

The handwriting is old, faded or hard to read. Will it still work?

Accepted Answer

In most cases, yes. Photograph the page flat, in good light, without shadows. And if a word remains uncertain, you stay in control: you review and correct every word before the book is made.

My recipes are written in another language. Can you read them?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Handwriting is read in any language, and you can add an optional translation that appears beneath the original text, so both stay together in the book.

How many photos can I upload?

Up to 80 photos, depending on the collection you choose: up to 15, 40 or 80 recipes.

Three one-time collections: Small (up to 15 recipes) for $9.90, Family (up to 40) for $16.90, and Full (up to 80) for $24.90. No subscription, no per-recipe charges.

No. It is a single one-time payment per book. Your private online book and your PDF remain yours, with nothing more to pay.

Can I see the result before paying?

Yes. The first three recipes are read for free so you can judge the quality of the transcription. The rest are processed after your purchase.

Who can see my online book?

Accepted Answer

Only the people you choose. Your book lives at a private, unlisted address that search engines cannot find. Only those you send the link to can open it.

Do my relatives need to create an account or install an app?

Accepted Answer

No. One click on the link opens the book directly in their browser, on a phone, tablet or computer, ready to leaf through.
