1. Who we are
Keep Old Writing is operated by Bagadim (the "Seller", "we", "us"). By using this service you are entering into an agreement with Bagadim. By accessing or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms.
2. The service
Keep Old Writing lets you upload photographs of handwritten recipe cards, uses AI-assisted transcription to read them, and produces a digital cookbook PDF that you review, correct, and download after a one-time purchase. You confirm you have the authority to agree to these terms and, where required, are of legal age.
3. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service, including:
- Using the service for any unlawful purpose, fraud, or spam.
- Uploading content that infringes others' intellectual property rights.
- Interfering with the service's security, including introducing malware, probing, scanning, or scraping.
- Reverse engineering, reselling, or redistributing the service.
You are responsible for the images you upload, for verifying the accuracy of AI-generated transcriptions, and for ensuring you have the right to use the content you submit. AI outputs may be inaccurate — always review them before relying on them.
4. Intellectual property
Bagadim retains all ownership of the service and its intellectual property, including software, designs, documentation, and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your personal cookbook. You retain ownership of your uploaded content and grant us a limited license to host and process it solely to provide the service. Your finished cookbook PDF is yours to keep and print for personal use.
5. Payments — Paddle as Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms at https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms. Purchases are one-time payments for a digital product — there is no subscription.
6. Service availability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the service. The service is provided "as is" and we disclaim implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose) to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the service for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violations of our policies.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages (including loss of profits, data, or goodwill), and our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not allow it.
